CARDO with support from USAID through DT Global has distributed over 300 radios to different listening groups/ social clubs in Jur River county, Wau county, and Wau Municipality in Western Bahr el Ghazal State. Radio has the ability to raise awareness and stimulate social change in the community.
The media can serve as a driver of peace in diverse ways; building bridges between people and groups; increasing knowledge of complex issues; providing early warning of potential conflicts; as an outlet to express emotions; and as a motivator for action to promote peace.
