With funding from Norwegian Church Aid – NCA, CARDO, South Sudan conducted two days of training on leadership, UNSCR 1325, and women and girl’s rights, the training targeted the duty-bearers and leaders in Wau, Western Bahr el Ghazal state.
The training aims to transform the dominant norms among communities so as to protect women and girls from violence, and harmful practices and as well enhance their participation in decision-making, especially on matters concerning them. It will also enhance their understanding of GBV against women and girls and ensure duty bearers and leaders become champions in the prevention of violence against women in the community.
