CARDO South Sudan continues to extend it services to the community of Western Bahr el Ghazal state and South Sudan at large.
On the 17th May, 2022, CARDO witness another milestone in its services delivery, where Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare, WBeG entrusted CARDO to take over the Women and Girls safe Space (WGSS) of Alelthony in Jur River County where keys and other space facilities where officially handed over from the previous partner in an event crowned by Alelthony Women Leader.
CARDO taking over the Alelthony Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) is to move closer to the community at the grassroots and continue providing necessary support.
The Women and Girls safe Space (WGSS) is a place where women and girls can go to at any time to feel safer and empowered and have access to information, education, recreational activities, support and other services.
These spaces support women and girls to recover from violence, form networks and access support, safety and opportunities. Alelthony WGSS brings the total number of centres being managed and run by CARDO to three (3) in Western Bhar El Ghazal state.
Good move NCA, I personal wetiness the hand over ceremony on 17 may 2022 in Alelthony.
