On the International Day of Peace (Peace Mission Week), CARDO was very Honoured to Receive UNHCR Country Deputy Representative to South Sudan in Wau.
UNHCR Country Deputy Representative to South Sudan pays a visit to the CARDO office in Wau, WBeG as well as some of the project locations in the state.
During her visit to beneficiaries of different Project services including Shelter intervention, Madam Juliette Murekeyisoni expresses her happiness about the great work CARDO is doing to support the community of Western Bahr el Ghazal especially Persons of Concern (PoCs)
UNHCR, The UN Refugee Agency, responds to the needs of internally displaced persons and Refugees in South Sudan through building an effective partnership with local NGOs and communities.
CARDO therefore being one of the vibrant local NGO was entrusted by UNHCR and entered a mutual partnership since 2020 to lead “General Protection Activities, Refugees Returnees Monitoring, Shelter programming, CRIs, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuses, Gender Based Violence Reduction among other Roles.
We thanks UNHCR for continued support to PoCs in a more dignified manner to realize the restoration of Hope and Resilience in the Society.
