CARDO South Sudan Protection unit conducted a Reconciliation and Healing forum in Raja County, Western Bahr el Ghazal, the forum brought together the affected community members, IDPs/Refugee Returnees, host community, and local authorities including the county security committee and religious leaders the Reconciliation and Healing forum aims to create a platform where displaced population, returnees, host community, and local authorities, have a platform to discuss on various ways of maintaining peaceful co-existence and ensure meaningful reconciliation and healing is fully achieved in Raja County.
The forum focuses on adverse causes and negative impacts of war and conflict on how to maintain the current peaceful situation and how to reconcile and ensure healing among the affected population, and also enable the authorities to ensure and guarantee the community of peaceful coexistence in Raja County.
The participants express their acceptance and readiness to support and participate in the reconciliation and healing forums as provided for in the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCISS)
